In this era of globalization and the frequent movement of people, perhaps the only way of direct communication between poets from different cultures and countries is in English. Poetry is a form of direct speech about our real life of movement, displacement, inhabitation of new territory. Come to think of it, a poem actually represents that direct speech, personal communication, although in a metaphorical form. Therefore, our publication intends to study this interesting opportunity of intercultural poetical communication in English between authors both with and without accent.
The editorial board consists of writers from the United States, Russia, Israel, and Western Europe with significant differences in their origin, language, and methodology. They have, however, one thing in common: Almost all of them are first of all poets, people who approach everything subjectively, strongly opinionated, hyperemotional, and truthful. The main idea of the magazine is not to showcase some new trend or development, nor is it intended to become a transatlantic cultural envoy. The idea is to create a new space in the air, a sort of playground between cultures, a spot for a lively exchange and an attempt to achieve a mutual understanding between poets creating in totally different geographic, social, and linguistic conditions.
